Brevard North Carolina Film Festival

Friday, March 19 & Saturday, March 20 Doors open at 6:00pm, Films begin at 7:00pm

Friday night’s fan favorite Kranked – Revolve follows a high-adrenaline mountain bike journey from the French Alps to the lush coast of British Columbia, incorporating dirt jump, trail, freeride, slopestyle and downhill riding.

Experience the adventure of adrenaline-packed action sports, mountain expeditions, remote cultures, and the world’s last great wild places – all brought to life on the big screen – when the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour returns to Brevard College’s Porter Center for Performing Arts Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20.

The two-day event, presented by Brevard College and Sycamore Cycles in conjunction with Brevard College’s Outing Club and Cycling Team, will feature award-winning films and audience favorites from hundreds of films entered in the annual festival in Banff Alberta, Canada.

Each evening will feature a different set of films.  A complete listing of the festival’s lineup and brief description of each film being shown is available online at

Tickets are $10 each showing or $15 for both nights.  They may be purchased from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling (828) 884-8330 or by visiting the Porter Center Box Office in person.  Tickets are also available at Looking Glass Outfitters in Pisgah Forest and at Mast General Stores in Hendersonville and Asheville.

The film festival doors will open at 6 p.m. each night to give patrons an opportunity to interact with this year’s sponsors.  The film showings will begin at 7 p.m.

Sponsors for this year’s event also include Looking Glass Outfitters, Mast General Store, WNCW 88.7, Diamond Brand Outdoors, Poppies Market, Brevard Rock Gym and Frugal Backpacker.

In conjunction with the film festival, Brevard and Transylvania County are offering many outdoor events for a fun and exciting weekend – from fly fishing, canoe trips, bike rides, to rock climbing clinics and art events.
